Judy Hinz
Director of Agency

Judy Hinz joined Altig in Washington as an agent in 1991, and quickly started working with Rick Altig on special projects. She became a key person in the growth of the company as Altig expanded from Washington and British Columbia to over 30 offices throughout North America. Judy has successfully worked in almost every position in the company and these diverse experiences have equipped her with the unique qualifications necessary to hold the position of Director of Agency.

In 1992 Judy took on the task of developing and implementing our Quality Business and Client Service programs, and subsequently authored the Agent Success Manual, which is every agent's handbook today.

Starting in 1993 Judy spent two years in Nashville as District Manager to open the state of Tennessee for Altig. She then returned to the Redmond headquarters, continuing to manage her agencies in Redmond, Tennessee and Alberta.

In 1998, Judy turned her full focus to the growth of Altig, becoming a member of the Altig administrative senior management and joining the Executive Council. She continued to lead the growth and development of quality and client retention, as well as developing training and support materials, scripts, and sales support materials.

Judy has an avid passion for, and success in mentoring people in their professional development and personal growth. She has integrated this into her role as Director of Agency, and has helped many of our associates and staff in this area. Judy is known as the "Mom" of Altig.

Judy was born in Southern California, and raised in the Midwest and California, where she attended Pierce College. For many years, she worked in the auto insurance industry, both as an adjuster, and a claims fraud investigator. Prior to joining Altig, she owned a successful graphic design business in California.

Judy and Tom currently live in Newcastle and Judy is the proud mother of three and the prouder grandmother of seven.
